PRESS: RusHydro may change dividend policy in 2018
MOSCOW, Oct 18 (PRIME) -- State-controlled Russian hydropower giant RusHydro may change its dividend policy in 2018 and switch to calculation of payments based on its earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) instead of net profit, business daily Vedomosti reported Wednesday citing sources.
At present, RusHydro aims to pay no less than 50% of net profit under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) in dividends. The company paid 19.876 billion rubles, or 50% of IFRS net profit, in dividends for 2016.
A spokesperson for RusHydro said “the company is not currently considering changing its dividend policy.”
